Women of Vision is a volunteer ministry of World Vision, a Christian relief and development organization, which equips women to serve impoverished and oppressed women and children worldwide. We seek to educate and inspire women to action in an effort to alleviate the injustice and inequities that exist for women and their families.
As Women of Vision we:
- Pray for the women and families in our projects
- Educate ourselves and others on global and local issues affecting women and children
- Volunteer at local ministries which serve women and children
- Travel to World Vision projects we support
- Advocate for issues affecting the poor and oppressed
- Support selected World Vision projects through personal giving and special events
- Partner with women around the world to create mutual life-changing opportunities
This site is a resource for Women of and “with” Vision to connect and communicate. As women from diverse backgrounds who are spread out geographically, we are all on a journey to bring hope and healing to the countless women and children who are suffering in our world today. Motivated by our faith and fueled by the example and passion of Jesus to care for the poor, we seek to educate ourselves to not only learn and support but to advocate on behalf the poor.
This site is a chance for women to interact with one another as we share resources, ideas, suggestions and prayer requests. We invite you to share your thoughts and comments as we learn from one another.

So excited about a forthcoming Conejo Valley Chapter in Southern California. The Pasadena Chapter was a wonderful group and truly were Women of Vision.
I’m interested in joining a group in the Monterey, CA area. Is there a group here?
I just found the chapters of WOV. Can I get some information about how to start a new chapter in an area?

Hi Vivian, Thank you so much for expressing interest in Women of Vision – and it was great to talk to you this morning! I will connect you to our Program Administrator who can help you get a chapter in Maryland off the ground. I will also connect you with the chapter located in Washington, DC. Thanks again!! Blessings, Mary
Hi Vivian & WOV Staff,
I wanted to touch base because I have been in touch in recent months with Jeannie Ralphs about starting a MD Chapter. Was actually preparing to offer The Heart of the Matter Bible Study in the next few months. I wonder if we should work together. I live in Bel Air, which is about 30 miles northeast of Baltimore. Mt. Airy is maybe an hour’s drive from here.
How should we proceed?
Beth Happick
Hello Beth, Thank you for this message and for your email. I’ll connect you, Vivian, and Jeanie by email and you can take it from there! The Heart of the Matter Bible Study is an excellent way to start. Blessings, Mary

I don’t see a chapter in Humboldt County. What does it mean to join as an individual member? I love what Women of Vision is doing to make an impact.
I should have written- Humboldt County California. Thanks.
Trina – you are correct that we don’t have a chapter in Humboldt County yet. Please contact our Helpdesk at womenofvision@worldvision.org or at 1.877.968.4968 to get information about joining as an Individual partner.
I am very interested in getting involved with supplying clean drinking water in other countries. The Lord has burdened me with this lately and also for Haiti. I am in Arkansas and there does not seem to be a chapter here either.
I am new on the site and so excited about WOV. How can I join a group such as Charlotte, Pittsburgh and Columbus. And, can I belong to more than one group since there in no goup in my state?
Thanks you,
Nancy

Greetings WOVeN! After reading WV Richard Stearns “Hole in our Gospel” I too feel compelled to do more to help in the Clean Water projects. So, in addition to sponsoring, I am going to have an Annual Garage Sale with 100% going to WV! I just had my first annual garage sale and by selling some of my stuff I was able to donate $300! Not that much but if all garage sale addicts (such as myself) do this just once a year, we could really raise the garage roof!!!! Pass it on to your fellow sponsors, friends and relatives!!! My plan is to this every 2nd Weekend of June every year! Go God!!! And thanks Mr Stern and all your mission people – GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
NOTE: If there is already a “Garage Sale Weekend for WV” started, please let me know when. Otherwise, I will keep to the 2nd weekend in June.
